- When the Rain Falls
By Amberia Shoemaker
When the rain falls, I won’t fear what is coming next
When the sun shines, you’ll be the one I run to.
When the leaves change, I’ll look forward to the things we left
When the flowers bloom, I reminisce about the way you move.
Will you hold on tighter when the Earth begins to tilt?
Will you return my love letter when the crickets call?
Will you still take the chance when the bird nests are built?
Will you be there to save me when the rain begins to fall?
