By Amberia Shoemaker
As I watch them grow, I wish that I could stop it.
They form their own opinions and ideas.
We make memories I hope they never forget.
As I watch them leave, I long to join.
I regret leaving so long ago,
They’ve forgotten the journey before
It lingers in my mind when thoughts no longer flow.
