Something I Would Never Say to My Roommate
Jessica Ibarra
Spring 2019
You annoy me when you clean my side of the
room
Napping nastily on the north corner
Your snoring sounds like a plane
That keeps me awake all night
But later—I’ll get my revenge
I sneak a Hot-Pocket of yours out of
the freezer
or 2
or 3
I eat all your sweets—I take your socks
I use your perfume—
I hate how you keep your room so neat
your voice haunts my dreams
So whiny like a car’s brakes
Tell your boyfriend to leave
he’s not funny and
neither are you
Sincerely, your roommate
